Cheese and beef crescent pie

1 lb ground beef
1/4- 1/2 cup chopped sweet green pepper, optional
1 pkg spaghetti, chili or taco seasoning mix
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
3/4 cup water
1 (8 oz) can pillsbury crescent dinner rolls
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 slices (6 oz) mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 400 F. In fry pan, brown ground beef and green pepper; drain. Stir in seasoning mix, tomato sauce and water; simmer 10 minutes. Separate crescent dough into 8 triangles. Place in ungreased 8 or 9 inch pie pan; press over bottom and up sides to form crust. Sprinkle 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese over crust. Spoon half the hot meat mixture into crust; top with two slices mozzarella cheese. Spoon remaining over cheese and top with remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Bake 15-20 minutes. Put remaining mozzarella cheese on top of cooked pie.
