Marinated Chuck Roast

Serves 8

1 (3-4 lb) boneless chuck roast
meat tenderizer
1 (5 oz) bottle soy sauce
1 1/2 cup water
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup bourbon

Sprinkle roast with tenderizer and prick with fork, place roast in a shallow pan. Combine remaining ingredients and stir well. Pour over roast. Cover and place in refrigerator at least 12 hours, turning at least once.
Remove roast from marinade and place on grill; cook over hot 30-45 minutes, basting often with marinade.
