Cheese Pudding

10 slices bread
1/2 lb cheddar cheese
2 cup milk
1 tsp salt
3 eggs
butter

Remove crust from bread, butter well and cut into cubes; place in baking dish alternating with grated cheese. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over bread. Let stand several hours before baking. Bake at 300 F for about 45.
