Irish coffee

Makes 16 servings

1/2 cup sugar
3 cups Irish whiskey
12 cups strong hot coffee
1 cup whipping cream

For each serving, place 1 1/2 tsp sugar in serving glass or cup. Pour in 1 1/2 oz whiskey, then fill glass with coffee, stirring to dissolve sugar. Whip cream: spoon 1 Tbsp on top of each.
