Broccoli and Rice

Category: Best ever casseroles

Serves 4-6

1/ 2 onion, chopped
1/ 2 cup + 1 Tbsp butter, melted and divided
15 oz jar pasteurized processed cheese sauce
10 oz pkg frozen broccoli, thawed
10 3/ 4 oz can cream of celery soup
1 1/ 2 cup instant rice, uncooked
1/ 2 cup milk
1/ 2 cup cracker crumbs

Saute onion in 1/ 2 cup butter. Add cheese sauce, broccoli, soup, rice and milk; place in a greased 11x7 inch baking pan. Set aside. Combine cracker crumbs and remaining butter; stir to coat and sprinkle over casserole. Bake at 350 F for 50 minutes to 1 hour.
