Divine casserole

Serves 4-6

1 lb ground beef
6 oz can tomato paste
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce
1/8 tsp dried oregano
1 onion, chopped
1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp butter melted, and divided
8 oz container small curd cottage cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
8 oz pkg egg noodles, cooked and divided

Brown beef in a large skillet over medium heat; drain. Add tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and oregano; heat through and set aside. In a separate skillet over medium heat, saute onion until translucent in 2 Tbsp butter; place in a medium bowl. Add cottage cheese sour cream and cream cheese; blend well and set aside. Place half the noodles in an ungreased 2 quart casserole dish. Drizzle with 1/4 cup butter; spread with cheese mixture. Toss remaining noodles with remaining butter and spread over cheese mixture. Top with meat mixture. Bake at 350 F for 40 minutes or until bubbly.
