Budding Chef's salad

Serves 1

1 large egg
cold water
1 cup chopped or torn green leaf lettuce, lightly packed
1/3 cup deli ham slices
1/3 cup deli turkey breast slices
1/2 cup grated medium Cheddar cheese

Put the egg into the saucepan. Add enough cold water to cover the egg. Cook, covered, on medium high until the water is bubbling. Turn down the heat to medium low. Cook, covered, for another 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat. Carefully remove the egg with the Tbsp to the small bowl. Cover the egg with cold water and keep changing the water until the egg is cool. Peel the egg. Cut it lengthwise into quarters.
Put the lettuce into the medium bowl. Scatter the next 3 ingredients over the lettuce. Arrange the egg quarters on the salad around the edge of the bowl.
