Broccoli Casserole

3 packages frozen chopped broccoli
1 cup sharp grated Cheddar cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
1 small chopped onion
1 egg, beaten
1 cup mayonnaise
4 slices bread, cubed
1/2 stick butter or oleo melted

Cook broccoli 3 minutes and drain well. Place in greased casserole (at least 8x12 inch). Mix all ingredients except bread and butter. Spoon creamy mixture over broccoli. Cover all with cubed bread. Pour on melted butter. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes in a 350 F oven.
