Family Favorite Beef in Casserole

Serve 6

1 lb ground beef
2 tsp sugar
2 (8 oz) cans Spanish style tomato sauce
2 tsp. garlic salt
5 oz egg noodles
8 oz cream cheese, chopped
1 cup sour cream
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese

Brown ground beef in skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain. Add sugar, tomato sauce and garlic salt; mix well. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain. Mix with cream cheese and sour cream. Layer beef mixture, noodle mixture and Cheddar cheese 1/2 at a time in greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.
