Beef noodle skiilet

Serves 6

1 lb lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1(16 oz) can tomatoes
8 oz cooked egg noodles, cooked
6 slices American cheese

Brown ground beef in 12-inch electric skillet, stirring until crumbly. Add onion. Cook until light browned; drain. Stir in seasonings. Reduce temperature. Layer noodles and tomatoes over beef in skillet. Pour reserved tomato juice over layers. Arrange cheese slices on top. Cook, tightly covered, for 15 minutes. Garnish servings with parsley.
