Baked french toast

Complete in 25 minutes
Serves 6
3 Tbsp. buttermilk
1 1/2 cup milk
3 eggs
2 Tbsp. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
6 slices egg bread (challah), cut into 1 inch thick slices
Caramel Apple cream (recipe under "my recipes, dips and sauces")
Strawberry citrus sauce (recipe under "my recipes, dips and sauces")
Maple walnut butter ("recipe under "my recipes, dips and sauces")
Heat oven to 475 F. Drizzle butter onto a baking pan large enough to hold bread slices in one layer.
Whisk together milk, eggs, confectioners' sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl. Dip both sides of bread into mixture; place on prepared pan. Pour any remaining milk mixture over bread. Let stand 20 minutes, turning bread over a couple of times.
Bake in heated 475 F oven, turning once, until puffed and golden, about 15 minutes. Serve with your choice of topping.
