Hot caramel topping

1 (14 oz) bag caramels
1/2 cup evaporated milk
3/4 cup margarine or butter
Melt margarine in sauce pan on low heat. Melt caramels slowly as not to scorch, stirring constantly. Add milk; mix well and serve over ice cream or desserts.
