1/2 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp sugar
1 egg beaten
3/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cup corn meal
1 small onion, chopped
Mix together dry ingredients. Add onion, egg and milk; stir lightly. Drop by teaspoon in hot fat. Cook until golden brown.
