Cinnamon Pancake Syrup

- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2/3 cup water
- 3 tablespoons butter
Combine the sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, and water in a saucepan. Whisk well to dissolve the flour. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and let cook at a strong boil for 3 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the butter. Stir until the butter has completely dissolved. Serve while warm over pancakes or waffles. Store leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Reheat before serving.
