**This recipe is a general recipe for fruit smoothies. Amounts are estimated.**
Ingredients:
Desired amount of fruit for smoothie.
1 Cup of ice
1/2 cup to 1 cup of Vanilla or French Vanilla Ice Cream
Dash of milk - Close to 1/8 or 1/4 cup
2 tablespoons sugar
Directions:
Chop up fruit into small blendable pieces. For strawberries, I cut the tops off and throw it away, then cut them into quarters. For bananas, I cut them into pieces about 1/2inch thick. I buy pre-cut pineapples, and other large fruits. If you want orange in your smoothie, I recommend buying orange juice concentrate.
After you have all your fruit cut up, decide how flavorful you want it to be. The more flavor you want, the more fruit you add.
I usually add the ice and ice cream first to the blender, then throw your fruit in and just a dash of milk. Lastly, top it off with sugar.
For my blender, I have a "drink" option to blend, so I use that. And if you are having trouble getting it to mix, make sure you don't have an air bubble at the bottom. If you do, add just a dash more milk. Pulse the blender, then blend again. Makes about a 12oz serving.
