easy to reduce to half a recipe for a 8x8 inch pan:::

2 cups cornmeal
2 cups flour
4 large tablespoon sugar
8 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt 2 eggs
2 cups milk 1/2 cup cooking oil


Directions
Put 1/4 cup oil in the bottom of a 9x12 pan. Mix all ingredients together but do not overbeat. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cornbread comes out clean.
