Ready in: 1-2 hrs

  • 1/2 cup Irish cream liqueur, PLUS
  • 2 tablespoons Irish cream liqueur
  • 1/3 cup chocolate liqueur (e.g., Godiva)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 large banana, frozen
  • 1 pint vanilla bean ice cream, PLUS
  • 1 scoop vanilla bean ice cream

Put banana unpeeled in the freezer for 1 hour before making.

Put both liqueurs, cocoa powder and ice cream in a blender. Peel frozen banana and cut into 1 inch pieces and add to blender. Blend until smooth.

Cook's Notes: A mudslide generally calls for coffee ice cream, but the vanilla bean ice cream adds a richness. By freezing the banana it acts like ice cubes only doesn't dilute the shake.
