Chile con Carne

1 tablespoon Pure Vegetable Oil
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 pound ground round beef
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Dash of hot pepper sauce (optional)
1 (30 oz.) can kidney beans, undrained
1.HEAT oil in large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add onion and green pepper. Cook and stir until tender. Add meat. Cook until browned, stirring occasionally.
2.STIR in tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, salt and black pepper; add hot pepper sauce, if desired. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3.ADD beans. Heat thoroughly, stirring occasionally.
