Cheese and Ham Potato Bake

1 cup diced ham
2 lb. bag frozen hash brown
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed small
1 onion, minced very fine
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 pint half and half

Mix all well and bring to just before a boil and pour into 13 x 9 baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
