Dutch BUTTER Biscuits

1 egg yolk
8 oz butter
1 Tbs sugar
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp chinese 7 spice or pumpkin pie spice
2 1/2 cups plain flour
1 tsp grated chocolate
1 Tbs chopped almonds

In a large bowl cream the butter with 3/4 cup sugar then beat in egg yolk. Add flour with the spice and add to the cream mixture then stir in grated chocolate. Press into a well greased 11 inch x 7 inch shallow tray to about 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle with a mixture of chopped almonds and sugar. Bake the Dutch Butter Biscuits in a moderate oven 350 degrees for 30 minutes then cut into finger lengths while still hot and leave in tin to cool.
