Lightest and Fluffiest Gold Cupcakes

2 c Flour, dip and leveled, sifted
1 1/2 c Sugar
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 stick unsalted butter, room temp softened
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1/2 c milk
Measure Flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl, set aside.
Put butter and sugar in large bowl and cream until light and fluffy using mixer until well incorporated.
Add vanilla and egg and egg yolk. Mix again until combined.
Add Flour and milk alternately blending with mixer and mix on MED 2 minutes to assure a light and fluffy final product.
Scrape down bowl fill 24 paper lined muffin cups 3/4 full the result will be a high domed cupcake...perfect for frosting.
Bake at 375 degrees for 22 - 27 min. depending on oven... until nicely golden in color... cool on rack.
