Chocolate is for Lovers white chocolate almond sauce

2 Tbsp butter unsalted
1 cup slivered almonds
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 bag (12 oz) white vanilla baking chips (2 cups)
1 TBSP amaretto or 1/4 tsp almond extract

In a 3 quart saucepan heat butter and almonds over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes, stiring frequently, until almonds are medium brown, remove from heat.

Stir in whipping cream until well blended (mixture will splatter) Stir in baking chips. Heat over low heat, stirring frequently, until chips are melted. Stir in amaretto. OR to microwave, place butter and almonds in 8 cup measuring cup. MIcrowave uncovered on High 3 - 4 minutes, stirring every minute, until almonds begin to brown. Stir in whipping cream until well blended. Stir in baking chips. MIcrowave uncovered about 1 minute or until chips can be stirred smooth. Stir in amaretto.

Serve warm or cold. Stir before serving. Store covered in refrigerator up to 4 weeks.
