EASY GREEK STYLE TOMATO DILL SOUP

I absolutely adore an old fashioned lunch of grilled cheese "sangwich"-(that's how we say sandwich in our house!)and a steaming bowl of tomato zupe(soup). This is a variation on that simple meal. It will add a new zip to an old favorite.

Ingredients:
2 cans (10.75 oz each)
1/2 to 1 cup greek yogurt-I like the full octane stuff
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup half & half
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper or to taste
2 teaspoons fresh chopped dill or 1 teaspoon dried dill.
1 teaspoon lemon zest.-save juice for another use.(optional)
1 tablespoon cooked bacon bits(optional)
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until heated through out.
DO NOT BOIL it will curdle.
Serve with Gruyere, bacon cheese sangwhich on sourdough bread!
