- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 medium lemons, juiced
- salt, to taste
Trim the ends of the green beans, rinse, and set aside. Heat a saucepan over medium heat. Add the butter. When melted, add the lemon juice and cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens. Do not let it burn. Meanwhile, add the green beans to a large pan of boiling water. Cook for 2-3 minutes then drain well. Toss the beans with the lemon sauce. Season to taste with salt and serve hot.
