COBBLER - PEAR CHOCOLATE

Makes 6 servings.
1/2 c. unsalted butter, softened
2 14-oz. cans pear halves, in juice
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. cocoa powder
1 1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Chocolate Sauce

Vanilla Ice Cream

Preheat oven to 400F; spray 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.
Drain pears and arrange in baking dish.
In a large bowl, sift together flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder, baking soda; add eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth.
Spread batter over pears and bake at 400F for 30 minutes.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve with chocolate sauce and ice cream.
