CRISP - PEAR BOURBON

Makes 8 servings.

Topping

1 c. rolled oats
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. grated nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/4 c. butter
3 lb. Bosc pears, cored and sliced
1/2 c. bourbon
1/4 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 350F. Butter a 2 1/2 quart baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl combine oats, flour, 1/4 cup sugar, almonds, baking soda, cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of the nutmeg, and allspice; mix well.
Cut in butter until mixture resembles a coarse meal.
Spread 1/3 of the mixture in baking dish; set aside the remainder for topping.
Combine pears, bourbon, remaining nutmeg and sugar, and raisins; mix well.
Spread pear mixture over crumb mixture in baking dish.
Spread remaining crumb mixture over the pears and press down.
Bake at 350F for 50 minutes, or until topping is lightly browned.
