TRIFLE - CHOCOLATE TOFFEE BERRY

Makes 8 servings.

1 8-inch square pan fudge brownies
3 T. coffee-flavored liqueur
1 4-oz. pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 cup water
1 14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
2 c. whipping cream, whipped
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. butterscotch toffee candy, finely chopped
2 1-oz. squares semi-sweet chocolate, grated
1 1/2 c. frozen sweetened strawberries or raspberries, thawed
1 2 oz. bar chocolate candy

Break brownies into bite-size pieces; sprinkle with coffee-flavored liqueur and set aside to soak.
Divide whipped cream into two equal portions.
Beat powdered sugar into one portion of whipped cream; fold in toffee and grated chocolate and refrigerate.
In a large bowl, combine pudding mix, water and condensed milk; mix until smooth.
Fold in unsweetened portion of whipped cream until no streaks remain.
In a trifle bowl or glass serving dish, layer one third of the brownies and pudding mixture; spread half of the berries over top.
Spoon one third of the sweetened whipped cream mixture over berries.
Repeat layers of brownies, pudding, whipped cream and berries.
Finish with third lay of brownies, pudding and whipped cream mixture.
Shave chocolate onto top layer for garnish. Refrigerate 8 hours before serving.
