PORK - ITALIAN SAUSAGE PAN PIZZA

Makes 6 servings.

1 1-lb. loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
1 lb. bulk Italian sausage
2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, chopped
2 tsp. olive oil
1 28-oz. can diced tomatoes, drained
3/4 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. fennel seed
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Press bread dough into the bottom and up the sides of the baking dish.
Bake at 350F for 10 to 15 minutes; remove from oven.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook sausage and stir until evenly browned.
Remove sausage with a slotted spoon, and sprinkle over the dough crust.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sausage.
Add mushrooms and onion to skillet; cook and stir until onion is tender.
Stir in tomatoes, oregano, salt, fennel seed and garlic powder; spoon over Mozzarella cheese.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350F for an additional 25 to 35 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.
