COBBLER - BETTE'S TRUE BLUE BERRY

Makes 8 to 10 servings.

3/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. fresh or frozen blueberries

Topping

1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 c. butter

Preheat oven to 375F. Spray an 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
Cream together 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup butter and egg.
Sift together 2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into sugar mixture, alternating with milk.
Stir in blueberries. Spoon into baking pan.
To make topping: Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup flour, cinnamon, and butter, mix until crumbly.
Sprinkle over cake batter.
Bake at 375F for 25 to 30 minutes.
