- 1 large egg, beaten
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon celery, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 dash salt
- 1 dash black pepper
- 3/4 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
Mix first 11 ingredients in a bowl. Add ground beef. Mix well. Shape into loaf on ungreased double foil. Bring up sides to enclose. Leave top open. Place in open shallow pan. Bake at 350 degrees F oven for 45 minutes. Spread second amount of ketchup over top. Continue baking for 15 minutes.
