Creamy Potato Chowder (soup)

CREAMY POTATO CHOWDER (soup)

Serves: 6
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons butter
2/3 Cups chopped onions
2/3 Cups diced celery
2/3 Cups Sliced Carrots
2 Cups Swansons Chicken Broth
1 Can drained whole kernel corn
1 Teaspoon Black ground pepper
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon garlic powder
1 Teaspoon Chopped dried chives
5 Medium sized Potatoes 3/4 inch cubes
2 Cups milk
Directions:
Combine all ingredients (except the corn) in a 3 quart saucepan heat to a boil.
Must stir every minute or so, burns easily
Reduce heat to about #2 just hot enough to maintain a boil. Continue to boil
about 10 - 15 minutes until potatoes are tender and about 1/3 have creamed.
Add drained corn, reduce heat to low cook an additional 5 minutes, ENJOY!
Optional: add 1 cup chopped ham.
