1 1/2 loaves of white bread
2 sticks of butter or marg., melted
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 can evaporated milk
1 T vanilla
1 1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup whipping cream
Sauce:
1/2 cup butter or marg.
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup whippig cream
1 tsp. vanilla
In a 9x13 pan, break bread into pieces (bread will be rounded over the top of the pan). Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar, eggs, evaporated milk, vanilla, whole milk and whipping cream. Mix well. Pour or spoon mixture evenly over the bread. Bake at 400 degrees fo 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven.
Make sauce by combining butter, sugar, whipping cream and vanilla in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Continue boiling for 4-5 minutes. Pour over bread. Cut with a spoon and serve warm
