Texas Chocolate Cake

Texas Chocolate Cake Florida Style

Serves: 15

Ingredients:
1 cup Butter
4 tablespoons Cocoa
1 cup Water
2 cups Sugar
2 cups Flour
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Sour Cream
2 Eggs

Frosting:
4 tablespoons Cocoa
1/2 cup Butter
6 tablespoons Milk
1 Box 10X Powdered Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup Walnuts, chopped

Directions:

Bring to a boil butter, cocoa and water. In a separate bowl, mix the sugar, flour, salt and baking soda. Add the hot mixture to the flour mixture, stir together, add eggs and sour cream, mix well. Pour into a greased 15 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Just before the cake is done, bring to a boil the cocoa, butter and milk. Reduce heat and simmer the mixture and add the powdered sugar, little by little, whisking the entire time. Add the vanilla and walnuts. Mix well and pour over the hot cake. Cool, serve and enjoy.
