Breakfast Cake(French toast cake)

Category: Recipes

Breakfast cake (French toast cake)
-2 large eggs
- 1 tbl. Spoon Cinnamon altogether
-1 tsp. Ground Ginger altogether
-1/3 cup milk
-your choice of pie filling or jelly (special flavours for holidays)
-confectioners’ sugar (pinches)
- Low- fat maple syrup.
-white bread slices (whole wheat for a more healthier version)
-1 drop vanilla extract
-whipped cream

To make the French toast

Beat 2 large eggs in a medium mixing bowl. Once beaten, mix in 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1 tsp. ground ginger (mix the spices until fully contributed.) Add in 1 drop of vanilla extract. Lastly, pour 1/3 milk into the mixture. With your 4 breads soak the bread on each side 1 AT A TIME. Heat pan on medium-high heat. Depending on the pan size, cook the bread for about 1-2 mins each side or until brown. If you want, sprinkle confectioners’ sugar and/or cinnamon on the toasts.

To make into a cake

Take one piece of bread and put it on a large plate. Put ½ tsp maple syrup on it and spread around. Put a thin layer of pie filling or jelly on the back of the next piece of bread, with the aerosol whipped cream; put a layer on the top of the jelly. Repeat 1 more time. On the very top piece drizzle low-fat maple syrup and sprinkle confectioners’ sugar. For an extra ‘Kick’ place fresh sliced fruit on the top.
