  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 5 cups barbecue sauce
  • 6 pounds pork or beef ribs, cut in serving pieces

Combine the brown sugar, honey, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and barbecue sauce in a bowl. Mix to dissolve the sugar and spices. Remove 1 cup of the sauce and place in a covered container in the refrigerator.

Place the ribs in the bottom of the crock pot. Pour the remaining sauce mixture over the ribs. Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4-6 hours or until the meat is tender and falling off the bones.

Remove the ribs from the crock pot. Serve with the reserved barbecue sauce mixture.
