  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 3/4 cup mashed canned pears
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon bread machine yeast

Place all the ingredients in the bread machine in the order directed by the machine manufacturer. Set on white bread, light crust setting.

When bread is baked, remove the pan from the machine. Let cool for 5 minutes then remove the bread from the pan and let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Store the bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
