Donja's Crab Corn Chowder
Category: Chowders
Two Tablespoons Bacon Drippings
Butter One tablesppon
Flour Two Tablespoons
Half and Half Two Cups
Chicken Broth (one regualr can)
Whole Kernel Canned Corn ( one regular can)
Lump Crab( 6- 10 oz)
Cream of Potato Soup ( one regular can)
Cream of Celery Soup ( one regular can)
Sea Salt and Pepper as desired
Make roux by placing drippings and butter together in cast iron or thick pot; melt on medium or low heat
Stir in onion and garlic; brown
Add flour and mix until thickened
Add Half and Half slowly, stir consitently
Add salt and pepper
Add broth slowly
Add corn
Add both soups
Stir steadily
Add crap as last ingredient
Let simmer; keep stirring; cover for few minutes, turn heat low
Serve with crackers
