Indian Corn Bread

1 cup corn meal
2 eggs
1 cup sweet milk
1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 #303 can cream style corn
1/4 cup bacon drippings

Saute a little corn meal in greased baking pan (iron skillet) Pour half of batter in skillet. Add grated cheese, then add meat, onion and pepper. Pour remaining batter over mixture. Bake in 350 oven for 45- 50 minutes.
