- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 1 pound canned pumpkin
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon groundcloves
- 1 box (18.25 ounce size) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Mix eggs, pumpkin, sugar, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves together; pour into a 13x9-inch pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix on top; spread chopped nuts over all. Drizzle with melted butter. Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cover with foil if top begins to brown too much. Cut into squares; serve topped with whipped cream if desired.
