1 lb mixed or jumbo scallops
Black pepper, to taste
Paprika
1 bottle Lambrusco or other semi-dry red wine

Cover the bottom of a glass casserole dish with a single layer of scallops. Pour wine over scallops. Wine should be as deep as scallops are thick. Mix pepper and paprika together and sprinkle over top. Bake at 350 until tops begin to turn light brown.
