1 1/2 lbs stew meat
Flour, salt and pepper
3 tbsp butter
4 cups water
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper and garlic powder
1 1/2 cups potatoes, cubed
3/4 cup chopped carrots
1 cup onion, diced
3/4 cup chopped celery and frozen peas
Refrigerated biscuits
Dredge meat in flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Heat the butter in a Dutch oven and brown meat a few pieces as a time. Add water and seasonings. Bring to a boil and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Add vegetables and boil 25 minutes. Pour into a casserole and arrange over top uncooked biscuits. Bake 20-25 minutes or until biscuits are brown.
