5 cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup flour and quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon and nutmeg
1/3 cup butter, room temperature
2 tbsp peanut butter
Place apple slices in a crock pot. In a medium bowl, combine sugar, flour and spices. Mix in butter and peanut butter with a pastry blender until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours. Serve warm, plain or with ice cream or whipped cream.
