1 lb ground veal
1 egg
1 cup fresh bread crumbs
2 tbsp chopped Italian parsley
2 1/2 tbsp Romano cheese
Salt and pepper
4 tbsp olive oil
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
4 tbsp red wine vinegar
1 1/2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp water

Meatballs, Combine fist 5 ingredients and season with salt and pepper. Shape into 1 inch balls. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a frying pan and brown meatballs on all sides until cooked through. Transfer to a paper line plat to drain.

Add remaining olive oil in pan and stir in the onions. Season with salt and pepper and cook over medium-high heat until limp, about 15 minutes, stirring often but not allowing to brown.

Stir in vinegar, sugar and water. Return meatballs to skillet and gently turn to coat them in the sauce. Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, shaking the pan frequently. Transfer to a serving dish and serve at room temperature.
