5 lb spare ribs, cut into individual portions
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 beef bouillon cube
3/4 cup boiling water
1 tsp oil
1 can crushed pineapple, undrained
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 cup garlic powder
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
Sprinkle ribs with salt and place in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 375 for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until almost tender. Drain off fat. Increase oven temperature to 425.
Meanwhile, dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water. Add remaining ingredients and bring simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
Spoon sauce over ribs and bake until nicely glazed, about 30 minutes.
