Marinade
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp honey
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp grated onion
1/4 cup dry white wine
3/4 lb boneless top sirloin or fillet, cut into very thin diagonal slices
1 (6 oz) can water chestnuts, drained and halved
Wooden skewers, soaked
In a resealable bag, combine marinade ingredients.
Wrap 1 slice meat around each chestnut half and secure with a wooden pick. Add to marinade for 1 hour.
Preheat broiler. Thread meat with skewers and broil to desired donessness, turning occasionally.
