2 cups chopped nuts
3 tbsp light corn syrup
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
4 tbsp butter
Pinch salt
3 tbsp cream

Cream together butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add corn syrup, cream and salt; stir in pecans. Cook on slow burner, stirring until thick. Cool.

Pastry
3 cups flour
1 egg, well beaten
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp salt
4 tbsp ice water
1 1/4 cups shortening

Mix flour, sugar and salt; cut in shortenings. Combine egg, eater and vinegar; add to dry mixture. Barely mix until it holds together. Roll until very thin and cut into biscuit-size circles. Spoon some nut filling ion center of each circle and fold over. Press edges together and bake until light brown. Brush with melted butter.
