Crisp
1 cup butter, softened to room temperature
1-3/4 cups flour
1-3/4 cups confectioners sugar, sifted
1-3/4 cups almond flour
1 tbsp cinnamon
Apple Spice Mixture
7 apples, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp coriander
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 1/8 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup orange juice
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 cup butter for cooking apples
Special Equipment: 6 8 oz ramekins
Crisp: Fold (paddle) ingredients for Crisp in mixing bowl until well combined. Place in the refrigerator and chill for approximately 20 minutes or until you are able to break into crumbs.
Apple Spice Mixture: Preheat oven to 350. Toss first 9 ingredients shown above in a large mixing bowl. Set aside and let the mixture sit for 15 minutes. Melt butter in non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add apple spice mixture. Cook for approximately 12-15 minutes or until the apples are just tender dash; stirring constantly. Place cooked apple spice mixture into ramekins and cover with crumbled Crisp mixture. Bake for 5 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and serve immediately. Serves 6
