6 lb country-style ribs
1 large onion, sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter, melted
11/2 cups water
1 cup ketchup
3/4 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tbsp celery seed
2 tbsp EACH Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and prepared mustard
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp EACH liquid smoke and hot sauce
Place ribs in a roasting pan. Cover and bake at 450 for 45 minutes; drain. Top with onion and lemon. Saute garlic in butter in a saucepan until tender. Add water and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; remove from heat, and pour over ribs. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 1 hour, basting often. Serves 6
