3 oz shredded Romano cheese
4 minced garlic cloves
1 tbsp crumbled Italian spices
Pepper
3 oz thinly slices pastrami
1 scallion
1 (32 oz) pkg thawed frozen bread dough
Preheat oven to 400. Lightly grease two cookie sheets. In a bowl, combine first 4 ingredients. Set aside. Thinly slice pastrami into 16 (12 inch) long strips, making 32 (6 inch) strips. Remove the white parts of the scallion and discard or use in another dish. Cut the green part into 16 long thin strips.
Divide the dough into 16 equal balls. Roll each ball into cheese mixture to coat thoroughly. Roll each ball into a 12 inch strips. Twist a slice of pastrami around the breadstick in one direction, and a scallion strip around the breadstick in the other direction. Place on baking sheets and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and serve hot.
