1 cup softened butter
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup egg nog
1 cup flaked coconut
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp coconut extract

Grease and flour bottom of a 10 inch tube pan. In a large bowl, cream butter and shortening. Gradually add sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Blend in with creamed mixture. Stir in coconut and flavorings.

Pour batter into 10 inch tube pan and bake at 325 for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in center of cake comes out clean. Cool in cake pan for 10 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
